Brunswick and Strongsville are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will welcome the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Brunswick 3.7, Strongsville 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Brunswick blew Perry out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Perry got their revenge. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Nolan Burke was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Brunswick saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Wojtala, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Strongsville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against St. Edward by a score of 5-1.

Strongsville's victory bumped their record up to 15-9-1. As for Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Brunswick was able to grind out a solid win over Strongsville in their previous matchup last Monday, winning 10-7. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
