Basketball Recap: Pine Ridge Takes a Loss

Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 52-44 to the Space Coast Vipers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Vipers from their previous meeting back in January.

Despite the loss, Pine Ridge still got an impressive performance from Serenity Cressor, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 19 boards, and ten steals. With that strong performance, Cressor is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brookelin Murray, who posted nine points along with five boards and five steals.

Leading Space Coast to victory were Phillayjah Carroll and Lashiya Walker. Carroll put up 21 points, while Walker earned 16 points.

Pine Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Space Coast, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Pine Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-38 victory against Seabreeze on the 16th. As for Space Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-51 loss against Andrew Jackson on the 14th.
