Basketball Recap: Kara Krupski Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mount St. Mary Academy

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Nardin Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mount St. Mary Academy Thunder 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gators have posted since December 19, 2023.

Nardin Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kara Krupski out in front who posted 17 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shania Johnson, who earned seven points and three steals.

Nardin Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, they moved to 1-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Nardin Academy and Mount Mercy Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sacred Heart Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
