Softball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake and Canfield squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Westlake had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 9-2. The match marked the Demons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Westlake saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Knapp, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Canfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Westlake nor Canfield have any future games scheduled.
