Softball Recap: Mckenna Olney Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Timpview

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maple Mountain, Wasatch was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Timpview Thunderbirds get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wasps in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won eight in a row.

Mckenna Olney was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mali Evans, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Wasatch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Wasatch picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-13. As for Timpview, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
