Indiana high school football rankings: Center Grove moves up to No. 2

Plenty of shuffling in Week 4 of Indiana Top 25 football rankings.

Only three teams remained in the same spot as the previous week in the Indiana Top 25 high school football rankings. Center Grove (Greenwood) moved up two spots to No. 2 after its second straight shutout win.

The Trojans beat No. 11 Carmel 42-0 as senior Carson Steele rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns and junior Daniel Weems added another 104 on the ground and a TD.

New teams that entered the rankings: additions to the rankings this week. No. 25 Evansville Central, No. 21 Mooresville, No. 20 Roncalli (Indianapolis) and No. 15 Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers), which beat No. 12 Avon 39-28 on Friday night. The Royals scored 14 unanswered fourth quarter points to pull out the victory.

Stat stars

Jeff Becker, Carroll (Fort Wayne): Completed 21 of 31 for 460 yards and eight touchdowns, and also rushed for a score in a 76-48 win over Fort Wayne North Side (Fort Wayne).

Mason Englert, Carroll: Caught 10 passes for 306 yards and four TDs .

Devin Mockobee, Boonville: Rushed 25 times for 285 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-9 win over Heritage Hills (Lincoln City).



Aaron Nevil, North Harrison (Ramsey): Rushed 33 times for 183 yards and four touchdowns, added four tackles and caused fumble, and caught a 22-yard pass in a 26-20 win over Corydon Central.

Duce Taylor, Fort Wayne North Side: Completed 29 of 45 for 398 yards and six touchdowns in a 76-48 loss to Carroll.
