Volleyball Recap: Graham Local Comes Up Short

Graham Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 33rd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Jackson Center Tigers. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15.

Leading Jackson Center to victory were Anna Hagen and Laynee Shields. Hagen had four assists and three aces, while Shields had eight assists. What's more, Hagen posted two digs, the most she's had over her last two matches. Natalie Metzger also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Graham Local's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Jackson Center, their record now sits at 6-12.

Looking ahead, Graham Local will take on Benjamin Logan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Center, they will challenge Botkins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
