Preview: Algoma Wolves vs. Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers
Algoma has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Algoma, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-36 loss to Brillion. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Algoma in their matchups with Brillion: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran came up short against Sheboygan County Christian on Tuesday and fell 59-49. Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Algoma's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Algoma against Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Algoma since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
