Carroll's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Carroll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Cantu out in front who threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jesse Garcia helped Cantu out on the ground, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Despite the loss, Corpus Christi Moody saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kayden Dufour rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Dufour's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Luna Jr, who rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
