Football Recap: Hannah Bartley Leads Andrew Jackson's Defense on Wednesday

Andrew Jackson owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They managed a 6-0 win over the West Nassau Warriors.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Andrew Jackson's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Hannah Bartley was the leader with two. Andrew Jackson is 4-2 when Bartley posts two or more sacks, but 2-4 otherwise. Another thorn in West Nassau's side was Aniyamarie Gray, who made ten total tackles and defended five passes in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

The victory got Andrew Jackson back to even at 6-6. As for West Nassau, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Andrew Jackson will be playing at home against ED White at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Commanders' defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for West Nassau, they have already played their next game, a 34-0 win against Global Outreach Charter Academy on the 4th.
