Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holy Cross). They breezed past the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams to the tune of 54-22 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Koser, who threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. Koser is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Blake Sponenberg was another key receiver, picking up 137 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Holy Cross' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will welcome Holy Redeemer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they will face off against Jenkintown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will be up against the Drakes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
