Gunn hadn't done well against Fremont recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Titans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Firebirds 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Gunn was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 26-24, 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-9.

Gunn's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Fremont, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-15.
