Volleyball Recap: Mulberry Triumphs

Mulberry posted their closest win since March 23, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Davenport Broncos, sneaking past 2-1.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (70-62) Mulberry actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 10-25.

Erick Osorio paced Mulberry's offense, picking up 14 kills. Osorio got some help from Jayden Williams and his 24 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Mulberry's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Davenport, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-2.

Coming up, Mulberry will head out to take on Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davenport, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of Central Florida National at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of Central Florida National will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Davenport surely won't give up without a fight.
