Softball Recap: Clymer/Sherman Has No Trouble Against North Collins

Clymer/Sherman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the North Collins Eagles with a sharp 12-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elli Bodamer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Janelle Burchanowski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.

Clymer/Sherman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for North Collins, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

As of now, neither Clymer/Sherman nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
