Clymer/Sherman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the North Collins Eagles with a sharp 12-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Elli Bodamer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Janelle Burchanowski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Clymer/Sherman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
