Soccer Game Preview: Sunrise Mountain vs. Del Sol

The Sunrise Mountain Miners will head out to square off against the Del Sol Dragons at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Del Sol took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunrise Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Sunrise Mountain will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Monday, then bounced right back against Valley last Wednesday. The Miners put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 5-1 victory. Sunrise Mountain haven't had any issues with Valley recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Del Sol came up short against Foothill last Wednesday, falling 7-3. Del Sol were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-2. As for Sunrise Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0-3.

Everything went Sunrise Mountain's way against Del Sol in their previous meeting back in August of 2022, as Sunrise Mountain made off with a 4-1 win. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
