Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Horizon Huskies
Mountain Pointe suffered their biggest defeat since September 25th on Monday. They came up short against the Horizon Huskies, falling 3-0. The Pride haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.
Horizon found their leader in freshman Tessa Caldwell, who had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Caldwell. Gabi Gilbert also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Horizon, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Pointe will take on rival Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Horizon is set to face off against their familiar foe Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
