Basketball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

If Grant was riding high fresh off their 73-36 takedown of Grants Pass last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grant Generals fell to the Barlow Bruins 77-71. The defeat continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now lost five in a row.

Grant's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Barlow, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Grant will be taking part in a tournament against Owyhee at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Owyhee likes a good challenge. As for Barlow, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Barlow's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
