Softball Recap: Windsor Finds Home Field Redemption Against Ukiah

There's no place like home for Windsor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They never let the Ukiah Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kaihla Jarvinen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Haley Homan was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Demi Lagourgue, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Windsor now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ukiah, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Windsor Jaguars take on Analy Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ukiah, they will challenge Del Norte at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
