Basketball Recap: Canyon Ridge Comes Up Short

Canyon Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Thunder Ridge Titans, falling 56-31. The matchup marked the Riverhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Thunder Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deegan Branson led the charge by going 6 of 9 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kyler Sparks, who posted 12 points.

Canyon Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Thunder Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. Thunder Ridge will host Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Canyon Ridge will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
