League recap: Imbler extends winning streak with victory over Pine Eagle

1A Special District 4 (8 Man) recap Nov. 7, 2012

Imbler extended the longest winning streak in 1A Special District 4 (8 Man) this week by beating Pine Eagle, 58-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Panthers.

Powder Valley took down Joseph 70-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Imbler's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Johnson threw for 58 yards and Casey Robertson had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Joe Griffin chipped in 223 yards. Jaden Bales helped Imbler's passing attack out by catching one ball for 26 yards.

Imbler's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 1025 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Robertson has 21 catches for 578 yards. Griffin leads the league in rushing with 1381 yards.

The Badgers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 70 points on the Eagles.
