Volleyball Recap: Winters Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Winters was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the St. Helena Saints, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Winters was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Lex White paced Winters' offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Idaly Lopez Sanchez and her three assists. Alliyah Bautista and Maci Dodic kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Winters' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will square off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Helena, they will challenge St. Vincent de Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
