Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short on the Road Against Scranton Prep

Riverside kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 10-6 to the Scranton Prep Cavaliers.

Caitie Beecham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Keller, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Scranton Prep moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Coming up, Riverside will head out to face off against Forest City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Scranton Prep, they will welcome Holy Redeemer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
