At 65 in a row, Vikings own fifth-longest streak in state history.

With two straight undefeated seasons, Central Cabarrus (Concord) has won 65 straight games since losing to West Charlotte (Charlotte) in North Carolina's Class 3A state semifinals in 2022. The Vikings have the longest active win streak in high school basketball nationally, based on records compiled by MaxPreps.

The 65 straight wins puts the Vikings at No. 5 in state history. Beaufort, now known as East Carteret (Beaufort), won 93 in a row from 1960 to 1962, Stanley, now East Gaston (Mt. Holly), won 88 in a row from 1938 to 1942, Durham won 73 in a row from 1937 to 1940 and Douglas, now known as Fike (Wilson), won 69 in a row from 1961 to 1963.

Central Cabarrus has a record of 95-1 over the past three seasons.

Second on the list, North (Worcester, Mass.) has a shot at breaking the state record for consecutive wins next year. With 46 in a row, the Polar Bears could break the state record of 53 in a row set by Cambridge Rindge & Latin (Cambridge, Mass.) in 2018.
