Blue Ridge had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES. That's more bragging rights for the Jays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dominic Paul was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Jacob West was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Paul Berry, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Blue Ridge's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the EAGLES beat Blue Ridge by a score of 6-5 later that day.
