Football Recap: Lamar County Starts Season with Victory Against Telfair County

Lamar County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past Telfair County 37-14. That's more bragging rights for Lamar County, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ross Hamrick had an outrageously good game as he threw for 128 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 51 yards.

Lamar County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Telfair County's QB won't forget Kaden Carter anytime soon given he sacked him three times.

Lamar County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Telfair County, they will host Bacon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
