Basketball Recap: Goleman's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Hialeah Gardens on Friday, Goleman came back down to earth. The Goleman Gators received a blow on Saturday as they fell 61-47 to the Forest Hill Falcons.

Despite the loss, Goleman still got an impressive performance from Franki Sosa, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Sosa's afternoon made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marcelo Bautista, who posted nine points.

Liunor Fernandez was a one-man wrecking crew for Forest Hill as he went 10 of 22 on his way to 27 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Fernandez a new career-high in points. Kavin Walker was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Goleman's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. As for Forest Hill, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

Goleman will welcome Miami Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goleman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. Forest Hill has already played their next game, a 63-38 loss against Keys Gate on the 27th.
