Basketball Game Preview: Divine Child Falcons vs. Clintondale Dragons

The Divine Child Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Clintondale Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Divine Child is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Clarenceville 85-53 on Tuesday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Trojans are ranked 560th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clintondale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 70-59 victory over the Jungaleers. 70 seems to be a good number for the Dragons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Divine Child has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points over those games. As for Clintondale, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
