Baseball Game Preview: Blake Yellow Jackets vs. Armwood Hawks

Blake hasn't had much luck against Armwood recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will welcome the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Blake has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blake is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Steinbrenner, falling 13-0.

Meanwhile, Armwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over Robinson on Saturday.

Javier Suniaga was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Marcus Hires, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Armwood, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Blake might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Armwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
