Volleyball Recap: South County Stallions vs. Lake Braddock Bruins

South County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Braddock Bruins, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

South County was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lake Braddock work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.

Lake Braddock can attribute much of their success to Yana Jensen, who had 15 digs. Jensen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

South County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-2. As for Lake Braddock, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, South County and West Potomac will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Braddock, they will take on Robinson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Robinson is coming into the game with three straight wins at home, so Lake Braddock will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
