7A District 3 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Oviedo extended the longest winning streak in 7A District 3 this week by beating Winter Springs, 41-29. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Lions.
Lake Howell's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. GARRETT KRUCZEK threw for 232 and two touchdowns and BRIAN MUNI had 87 yards receiving. On the ground NICK MAYKUT chipped in 45 yards. Purcell Farquharson helped Lake Howell's passing attack out by catching five balls for 56 yards.
Edgewater's JB Woodman and Tim Miller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woodman has thrown for 1155 yards this season, while Miller, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 31 catches for 465 yards. Oviedo's Jurell Green leads the league in rushing yards with 1162.
Wes Allen's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on the Bears.
