Softball Recap: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Marvin Ridge Mavericks
Sun Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Marvin Ridge Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Gracyn Hawk (2026) was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Moriah Garcia (2026), who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
