Basketball Recap: Morgan Park Takes a Loss

Morgan Park lost against Whitney Young last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Morgan Park Mustangs took a blow against the Whitney Young Dolphins, falling 94-27. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-15.

Whitney Young was led to victory by Destiny Jackson and Alana Shields. Jackson almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds, while Shields dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. The contest was Jackson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gaby Domercant, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points.

Morgan Park's defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Whitney Young, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.

As of now, neither Morgan Park nor Whitney Young have any future games scheduled.
