Basketball Game Preview: Timber Creek Falcons vs. Northwest Texans

Timber Creek and Northwest are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Timber Creek Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Northwest Texans at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Timber Creek is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Timber Creek duked it out withV.R. Eaton on Friday. Timber Creek took down V.R. Eaton 59-40.

Timber Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jillian Topping, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Elena Gonzalez, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Northwest can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Trinity 33-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Texans have posted since November 5, 2024.

Timber Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season. As for Northwest, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-22.

Timber Creek strolled past Northwest in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 50-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
