Baseball Recap: Timberline Wolves vs. Madison Bobcats
Timberline was the 7-0 winner over Madison when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberline Wolves fell 8-5 to the Madison Bobcats on Saturday. The loss was the Wolves' first of the season.
Diego Baker put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Logan Thistle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Everett Lynn, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Having lost for the first time this season, Timberline fell to 2-1. As for Madison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.
