Softball Recap: Columbia Wildcats vs. Emmett Huskies
Columbia extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-10. They lost 26-2 to the Emmett Huskies. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
Columbia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessa Jacquemain, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Jacquemain has brought in this season.
As for Emmett, their record now sits at 2-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Emmett's side, Chloe Scott was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs Scott has posted since back in March of 2025. Maci Haskins was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Columbia is set to take on their familiar foe Vallivue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Emmett will challenge rival Skyview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
