Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nederland walked away with it. They came out on top against the Montgomery Bears by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Bears on Friday, they had to take a 11-2 defeat.

Carson Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ayden Sunday, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Slade Sheppard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Nederland's victory bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 22-12-2.

As of now, neither Nederland nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
