Volleyball Recap: Sebeka Comes Up Short

Sebeka and Verndale squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sebeka had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Sebeka ultimately came up short, they really made Verndale work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Sebeka lost, don't look at Emma Ness. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs.

Sebeka has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Verndale, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12.

As of now, neither Sebeka nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
