Soccer Recap: Plainfield Comes Up Short

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Plainfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of the Avon Orioles by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Plainfield couldn't quite close it out.

Plainfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Avon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Coming up, Plainfield will square off against Brownsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon, they will face off against Center Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
