South Shore's loss ends 11-game winning streak on the road

Recap: South Shore Vikings vs. Neumann-Goretti Saints

After a string of seven wins, the South Shore Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Neumann-Goretti by a score of 64-62. South Shore was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Neumann-Goretti apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Neumann-Goretti's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amya Scott, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reginna Baker, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

South Shore's loss ended a 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-6. As for Neumann-Goretti, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

South Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neumann-Goretti, they will head out on the road to square off against Lansdale Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Neumann-Goretti is ranked 14th, while Lansdale Catholic is ranked 20th).
