It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Edgewood had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over the New Boston Lions. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matches by 26 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Edgewood's victory came down to the chemistry between Trevor Golightly and his top target Tony Smith. Golightly threw for 213 yards and five touchdowns while Smith gained 184 total yards and six touchdowns. Bryan Paniagua helped Golightly out on the ground, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Edgewood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Evan Salinas, Treston Turner, and Smith picked up one apiece.
