There's no place like home for Aquinas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the La Crosse Logan Rangers on Thursday. The Blugolds haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Aquinas had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-23.

Sammy Davis paced Aquinas' offense, picking up 19 kills. Davis got some help from Adelaide Bezemek and her 36 assists.

La Crosse Logan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Adelade Sprain, who had 14 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Norah Keller, who had 20 assists and seven digs.

Aquinas' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for La Crosse Logan, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Aquinas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Platteville on the 6th. As for La Crosse Logan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Viroqua on the 6th.
