Volleyball Game Preview: Pewaukee Pirates vs. Greendale Panthers

Pewaukee has gone a perfect 3-0 against Greendale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Pewaukee is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Pewaukee is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 17th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Westosha Central.

Pewaukee was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Greendale didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Creek on Monday and fell 3-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Greendale wouldn't go down easily and took Oak Creek into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Pewaukee will have to contain Jakup Ademi as he made an impact in Greendale's last game. He had 13 digs and three aces.

Pewaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Greendale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Pewaukee took their victory against Greendale when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
