After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oxford Prep, Falls Lake was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wake Prep Academy Guardians, sneaking past 2-1. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Guardians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Falls Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kace Obriant, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Falls Lake pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Wake Prep Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Falls Lake will look to defend their home field on Friday against Franklin Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Wake Prep Academy, they will challenge Thales Academy Rolesville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
