Softball Recap: Cedarville Takes a Loss

Cedarville entered their game against Madison Plains on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Indians came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 13-4. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Cat Caraway made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Ankeney, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Madison Plains, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Cedarville will face off against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians are facing the Blue Lions at the right time seeing as the Blue Lions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Madison Plains, they will square off against Greeneview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
