Softball Recap: Emerald Falls to Thornwell in First Game of Season

Emerald unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 22-3 to the Thornwell Saints on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

KeTorey Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Looking ahead, Emerald will square off against Wren at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thornwell, they will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter on Friday. This will be Thornwell's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
