Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Westwood

The Skyline Coyotes will face off against the Westwood Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Skyline's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Skyline fell victim to Mesa and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Jackrabbits. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Jackrabbits are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Westwood can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Neither they nor Dobson could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for the Warriors as the squad haven't won a game since December 18, 2024.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. Westwood's draw gives them a new season record of 5-5-2.
