Basketball Recap: Lake Mary Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Smyrna Beach, Lake Mary was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the Forest Wildcats with a 55-51 win. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Forest lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ja'Niyah McCoy, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 16 points and six assists. Those six assists gave McCoy a new career-high. Janaina Wess was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Lake Mary is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Forest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Lake Mary has already played their next game, a 46-6 victory against Lake Brantley on the 13th. As for Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-6 win against Lake Weir on the 14th.
