Basketball Recap: Hawkinsville Takes a Loss

Hawkinsville played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Bleckley County Royals, falling 68-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red Devils have suffered since December 21, 2024.

Despite the loss, Hawkinsville still got an impressive performance from Bryson Singletary, who posted 22 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Singletary's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kamari Blackshear, who earned 11 points.

Hawkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bleckley County, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Hawkinsville has already played their next game, a 51-43 win against Wilcox County on the 1st. As for Bleckley County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-38 victory against Academy for Classical Education on the 1st.
