Baseball Recap: Ponderosa Takes a Loss

Ponderosa suffered their biggest defeat since May 17, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 16-4 to the Fossil Ridge SaberCats. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the SaberCats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Ponderosa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Olson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Grady Jacobs also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Ponderosa and nudges their season record down to 15-8. As for Fossil Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Ponderosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fossil Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
