Softball Game Recap: Oxford Hills Vikings vs. Edward Little Red Eddies

Oxford Hills extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 12-6 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-4 to the Edward Little Red Eddies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Red Eddies this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-4 defeat on Thursday.

As for Edward Little, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

For Edward Little's part, Kassidy Lobb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. Lobb has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Edward Little's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Lebrun, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

As of now, neither Oxford Hills nor the Red Eddies have any future games scheduled.
